Demand is family inquiries made through Carevo. Supply is the Carevo listed provider directory. An active listing or service area does not prove immediate capacity, acceptance, or service delivery. Carevo connects families with providers; it does not deliver care.

What families ask for most

Across every inquiry, a few service types come up far more than the rest. Personal care and domestic assistance lead, with therapy and transport close behind.

Cleaning 1,970 inquiries
Personal Care 1,697 inquiries

Equipment Hire 628 inquiries
Social Support 616 inquiries
Transport 601 inquiries
Allied Health 599 inquiries
Gardening 532 inquiries
Support Coordination 448 inquiries
Nursing 350 inquiries

Early signal: in some areas, inquiry volume is high relative to the providers listed there, including City (ACT), Townsville (QLD), Perth (TAS), Cairns North (QLD). The platform is new, so treat suburb-level figures as an emerging picture rather than a settled measure.

How we built this

Demand figures are family inquiries submitted through Carevo and aggregated by suburb, state, and requested service. Supply figures are active service-area records in the Carevo listed provider directory. My Aged Care approval labels are sourced from the My Aged Care register, while NDIS registration requirements vary by support and plan management. We do not publish personal details, and public suburb rows require at least 5 inquiries.

Carevo is a connection platform. It connects families with NDIS and aged care providers and does not deliver care or employ support workers. Figures reflect source tables through 5 September 2026. Carevo inquiries are a convenience sample, not a population estimate, and the demand-to-supply ratio does not prove that an area is underserved.

Definitions: A care-seeker inquiry submitted through Carevo. It is a platform event, not a count of all people seeking care in Australia. A distinct provider with at least one active service-area record in the Carevo listed provider directory. A state and suburb pair with at least one active listed provider service-area record. Carevo inquiries divided by active listed providers for the same state and suburb. It is an exploratory platform ratio, not a market share or unmet-need estimate.

Limitations: Carevo inquiries are a convenience sample and are not representative of all Australian care demand. Provider coverage is based on the Carevo listed directory and may differ from current operating capacity. A provider service area does not prove that the provider accepted an inquiry, had immediate capacity, or delivered a service. Public suburb rows suppress locations with fewer than 5 inquiries. The ratio is descriptive and does not establish that a location has unmet need or is economically underserved.

Families never pay Carevo. Providers pay a subscription to connect with families, with no commission or paid ranking. How Carevo works
