Why we built Carevo
NDIS and aged care are the second largest social spending category in Australia after the Age Pension. Around $87 billion a year flows through them. The way families find a provider hasn't kept up: long phone trees, broken forms, callbacks that never come.
The provider a family ends up with is usually whoever called back first. We want to change that, so the participant chooses based on fit, not luck.
How our free service works

Independent
Carevo is not owned by a care provider, network, or investor with an interest in steering your choice. We point families to whoever fits the situation.
Free for families, always
Participants and families never pay us. Providers in our network pay a flat subscription to view and contact the families we match them with, never a commission or success fee on what they earn. No premium tier for participants.
Matched on real behaviour
We do not individually vet providers. Our matching is informed by how they actually behave on Carevo, including how reliably they respond to requests and follow through, so the providers you see are the ones genuinely engaging with families. You can confirm any provider's registration on the official NDIS and aged care registers.

Co-founder & CEO
Co-founder and CEO. UNSW politics and commerce graduate. Navigated his father's respite and palliative care.
Sydney-based. Andre leads strategy and operations at Carevo. UNSW graduate. He focuses on getting families to the right provider quickly and keeping the platform free for the people who rely on it.
Buddhika Jayawardhana
Co-founder & CTO
Co-founder and CTO. 15+ years in software engineering, formerly at Coviu (CSIRO telehealth).
Melbourne-based engineer. Before Carevo, Buddhika worked at Coviu, the CSIRO-founded telehealth platform used by 100,000+ allied health professionals across Australia. He builds the matching and notification systems behind Carevo.
Gemma Foxton
Customer Lead
Former support worker, NDIS family member.
Sydney-based. Gemma looks after families and providers using Carevo. She spent several years as a support worker before moving into concierge and partnerships roles, and the NDIS is personal for her own family, so she writes from the frontline of care. She guides people through paperwork-heavy decisions without making them feel like a ticket number.
