What Supported Independent Living (SIL) Covers

24/7 Supported Living

Round-the-clock support in shared houses, typically 3-5 participants. Staff provide personal care, household management, community access, and overnight support. The most intensive and expensive form of NDIS-funded accommodation support.

Drop-In Support

Scheduled support visits to a participant living independently or semi-independently. Less intensive than 24/7 but provides regular check-ins, assistance with tasks, and safety monitoring.

Host Family Arrangements

Participant lives with a vetted host family who provides a home-like environment and day-to-day support. Less institutional than group homes, suitable for participants who benefit from a family setting.
