How we rank providers

Rankings in Australia are based on real outcomes between providers and families on our platform. They are recalculated daily and cannot be purchased or influenced by advertising.

  • How this list is built. Providers shown here are registered with the NDIS for Assistance with travel/transport arrangements, or offer transport.
  • Outcomes with families. We measure what happens after a family contacts a provider. Providers where families report positive outcomes rank higher. Multiple signals are weighted across a rolling window.
  • Service match. Providers are ranked by how closely their registered services and capabilities match what you are searching for.
  • Registration and compliance. NDIS registered and government-approved aged care providers are weighted for meeting quality and safeguards standards.
  • Local presence. Providers confirmed in Australia rank above those covering only the broader region.

What "Trusted" means. The Trusted badge is awarded to providers with a consistent record of positive outcomes with families on our platform. It is based on multiple behavioural signals and family feedback, and it cannot be purchased.

How to pay for transport services

Funding options include NDIS Core Supports. Eligibility depends on your assessment and plan.

Arranging transport should be simple, but for people with a disability or mobility challenges, it’s often a source of stress. Will the vehicle be on time? Will it be accessible? Will the driver be helpful and professional? These worries can make even a simple trip to the doctor feel overwhelming.

Transport support requests come through Carevo from families across Australia, matched to providers who suit each person’s needs.

A clean and modern accessible vehicle used for disability transport services.

The Commitment: Your Reliable Ride

Transport providers through Carevo focus on reliable, accessible door-to-door travel for people in Australia.

Always on Time

Punctuality is the priority. Providers use modern scheduling software and have drivers based locally in Australia to ensure they arrive on time, every time. No more stress about missing important appointments.

Safe, Fully-Equipped Vehicles

Many providers operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles with features such as lifts, ramps, and securement restraints. Accessibility varies between providers, so confirm the vehicle suits your needs when you book.

Professional Drivers

Many transport providers use drivers who are experienced in disability and aged care transport. Driver licensing, background checks, and training are each provider’s responsibility, so ask a provider about their drivers’ checks and qualifications before you book.

How Transport Providers Guarantee a Stress-Free Journey

Transport providers through Carevo provide the specific, trust-building details that give you confidence when you book.

Clear Booking Confirmation

No more uncertainty. When you book your trip, you receive a clear confirmation with the driver’s details and an exact pickup time. You can relax knowing it’s all organised.

Understanding NDIS Transport Funding

NDIS transport funding usually works as a periodic transport budget paid directly to you, the participant, at set levels (commonly around $1,606 a year at Level 1, $2,472 at Level 2, and $3,456 at Level 3), often paid fortnightly into your own bank account to cover your travel costs. Where a provider or support worker drives you as part of a support, that is claimed as the support worker labour item plus a separate Activity Based Transport charge per kilometre, not as a generic Core Supports (Transport) line. Whether a provider can bill directly depends on how your plan is managed: agency-managed (the NDIA pays the registered provider), plan-managed (a plan manager pays the provider), or self-managed (you pay and keep the records). Providers through Carevo can help you understand which arrangement applies to you.

Aged Care and DVA Funding

Aged care and the NDIS are separate funding systems with different eligibility. The NDIS is for people with a permanent and significant disability who are under 65 when they become a participant; you cannot apply once you are 65 or over. Older people generally access transport through aged care programs instead. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and the Support at Home program (which replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025) can both include transport assistance, priced under their own separate arrangements. Eligible veterans may access transport through DVA, for example the Booked Car with Driver service for Gold or White Card holders. Providers through Carevo can point you to the right program for your circumstances.

Flexible for All Your Needs

Reliable transport isn’t just for medical appointments. Providers can take you to social outings, shopping trips, community events, or work, helping you stay connected to your Australia community.

Booking Your Ride is Simple

  1. Tell Them Your Needs: Call or email with your travel details, including any accessibility requirements.
  2. Get a Clear Quote & Confirmation: Transport providers give a simple, upfront price and send you a confirmation of your booking in writing.
  3. Enjoy Your Journey: Your professional driver arrives on time to provide safe, friendly, door-to-door service.
  4. Clear Billing: How payments work depends on your funding. For NDIS, that may be a periodic transport budget paid to you, or labour plus per-kilometre transport claimed depending on whether your plan is agency-managed, plan-managed, or self-managed. Providers can explain the options for your situation.
