How we rank providers

Rankings in Australia are based on real outcomes between providers and families on our platform. They are recalculated daily and cannot be purchased or influenced by advertising.

  • How this list is built. Providers shown here offer support work and personal care.
  • Outcomes with families. We measure what happens after a family contacts a provider. Providers where families report positive outcomes rank higher. Multiple signals are weighted across a rolling window.
  • Service match. Providers are ranked by how closely their registered services and capabilities match what you are searching for.
  • Registration and compliance. NDIS registered and government-approved aged care providers are weighted for meeting quality and safeguards standards.
  • Local presence. Providers confirmed in Australia rank above those covering only the broader region.

What "Trusted" means. The Trusted badge is awarded to providers with a consistent record of positive outcomes with families on our platform. It is based on multiple behavioural signals and family feedback, and it cannot be purchased.

How to check a provider's credentials

Carevo lists the registration details a provider reports and links you to the official Australian registers so you can confirm them yourself. Here is what each listing shows and where to check it. A listing on Carevo is not an endorsement.

NDIS registration

How much does disability support cost in Australia?

Disability Support in Australia typically costs $70.23/hr standard weekday Assistance with Self-Care; $75.98/hr high-intensity (NDIS price caps held for 2026-27). Actual rates vary by provider, funding type, and the level of support required.

How to pay for disability support

Funding options include NDIS Core Supports. Eligibility depends on your assessment and plan.

NDIS disability support helps you do the everyday things that keep you living independently: getting up and dressed, keeping your home running, getting to appointments, and taking part in your community. Carevo matches you with disability support providers in Australia so you can compare availability, services and approach in one place instead of cold-calling agencies one by one.

Tell us what you need and we connect you with NDIS providers who can actually take you on. Carevo is a connection platform, not an agency: you choose the provider, and the support is delivered by them.

What disability support covers

Through Carevo you can find providers in Australia who offer:

  • Personal care: help with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and transfers, funded under NDIS Assistance with Self-Care.
  • Household tasks: cleaning, laundry, shopping and meal preparation so your home stays manageable.
  • Community access and participation: support to attend appointments, activities, work, study and social events.
  • High-intensity and overnight support: for participants with complex needs, including overnight and 24-hour rosters where your plan funds it.
  • Supported Independent Living (SIL): shared support in a home you live in, often paired with Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) for participants with very high support needs.
  • Respite and short-term accommodation (STA): planned breaks for participants and the family members who support them.

How funding works

Most in-home disability support is funded through your NDIS Core Supports budget under Assistance with Daily Life. Core Supports is flexible, so you can generally move funding between personal care, household help and community access as your needs change.

NDIS prices are capped each year under the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 (effective 1 July 2026). Standard weekday Assistance with Self-Care is held at $70.23 per hour, and high-intensity self-care (for participants needing additional skills, such as complex bowel care or ventilation support) at $75.98 per hour, both unchanged from 2025-26. Evenings, weekends and public holidays attract higher caps. A provider cannot charge above the cap, and your service agreement should set out the rates before support starts.

If you are not on the NDIS, support may instead be funded through DVA (for eligible veterans) or paid for privately. Aged-care funding such as Support at Home applies to people aged 65 and over rather than NDIS participants. If you are unsure which applies to you, mention it when you get matched and we point you to providers who work with that funding.

Comparing providers

Carevo connects you with NDIS-registered providers operating across Sydney and Melbourne. When you compare them, it is worth asking each provider directly about:

  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission registration
  • NDIS Worker Screening Checks for their support workers
  • How they handle continuity if your regular worker is unavailable
  • Insurance, complaints handling and how they set fees within the NDIS caps

Carevo does not employ support workers or vet individual staff, so these questions are the best way to judge whether a provider suits you.

How to get matched

  1. Tell us what you need. A few minutes on the questionnaire: your suburb, the support you are looking for, and how it is funded.
  2. We match you with providers. You are connected with disability support providers in Australia who have availability for your situation.
  3. Compare and choose. Talk to the providers, ask the questions above, and decide who fits. There is no obligation to proceed.

Frequently asked questions

What can I use my NDIS Core Supports budget for? Core Supports covers Assistance with Daily Life, including personal care, household tasks and community participation. It is flexible funding, so within reason you can adjust how much goes to each as your needs change across the plan period.

Will I get the same support worker each time? That depends on the provider, not on Carevo. Continuity comes down to how a provider rosters and retains staff, so ask each one how they handle it and what happens when your regular worker is on leave.

Do providers charge above the NDIS price caps? No. Registered providers must charge within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Your service agreement should list the hourly rates, including higher weekend and public holiday rates, before support begins.

What if I am not eligible for the NDIS? You may still be able to arrange support through DVA, privately, or, if you are 65 or over, through aged-care funding. Let us know your situation and we connect you with providers who work with that funding.

Get started

Comparing disability support providers in Australia should not take weeks of phone calls. Tell us what you need and we connect you with NDIS providers who can help.
