How we rank providers

Rankings in Australia are based on real outcomes between providers and families on our platform. They are recalculated daily and cannot be purchased or influenced by advertising.

  • How this list is built. Providers shown here are registered with the NDIS for Household tasks, or offer domestic help and cleaning, related disability and aged care services, and support work. Generalist providers who only mention this service in passing are excluded, so the list reflects genuine, demonstrated capability.
  • Outcomes with families. We measure what happens after a family contacts a provider. Providers where families report positive outcomes rank higher. Multiple signals are weighted across a rolling window.
  • Service match. Providers are ranked by how closely their registered services and capabilities match what you are searching for.
  • Registration and compliance. NDIS registered and government-approved aged care providers are weighted for meeting quality and safeguards standards.
  • Local presence. Providers confirmed in Australia rank above those covering only the broader region.

What "Trusted" means. The Trusted badge is awarded to providers with a consistent record of positive outcomes with families on our platform. It is based on multiple behavioural signals and family feedback, and it cannot be purchased.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as “light gardening” under NDIS or Support at Home? Light gardening covers lawn mowing, weeding, pruning of small shrubs, leaf clearing, and general garden tidying. It does not include heavy landscaping, tree removal, or major earthworks. Funding is not automatic. Under the NDIS, yard maintenance is funded only where it is an essential task you cannot do because of your disability and the support is reasonable and necessary, so it is generally not funded where others in your household can do the task. On the aged-care side it can be funded through Support at Home or the CHSP for eligible clients. Your provider can clarify what is covered under your specific funding.

Can I keep my current gardener and use funding to pay them? Whether your gardener must be NDIS-registered depends on how your plan is managed. If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can use an unregistered provider and often keep your current gardener. Only if your plan is NDIA or Agency-managed must the provider be NDIS-registered. For Support at Home or CHSP, the provider needs to be approved under your aged-care arrangement. Carevo can help you find suitable gardeners in Australia or check whether your current provider meets the requirements.

How often will the gardener visit? Most clients receive weekly or fortnightly visits, depending on their garden’s needs and their funding allocation. Your provider will work with you to set a schedule that keeps your garden manageable year-round.

Do I need to be home during the gardening visit? Not necessarily. Many clients prefer to be home, but you can arrange access with your provider if you have appointments or prefer not to be present. Your provider will discuss the safest arrangement for your property.
