Frequently asked questions

What is the NDIS Price Guide?

The NDIS Price Guide is the official list of support item codes and the maximum prices NDIS-registered providers can charge for each support. It sets price limits across categories such as core supports, capacity building, and capital supports so participants and providers know the most a support can cost under the scheme.

How often does the NDIS Price Guide update?

The NDIS reviews and updates pricing once a year. The new price limits take effect on 1 July at the start of each financial year. The current limits apply to the 2026-27 financial year, effective 1 July 2026. The NDIA can also publish interim changes during the year if needed.

What is the support worker hourly rate for 2026-27?

For 2026-27, the standard weekday daytime price limit for a support worker delivering assistance with self-care or community participation is $70.23 per hour. Evening, Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday rates are higher, and rates for higher-intensity supports also differ. Self-managed participants can negotiate rates below the cap.

Is the NDIS Price Guide the same as the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits?

Yes. The document once called the NDIS Price Guide was renamed the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. They are the same thing. Many participants and providers still call it the Price Guide, but the official title is now Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
