Common billing scenarios
- A participant purchases a wheelchair cushion costing $450. The provider claims 450 units at $1 each under the supplementary charge code, along with the base equipment code.
- Additional accessories for an existing AT item cost $120. The provider submits a claim for 120 units under this supplementary code.
Provider notes
- Capital supports are one-off or infrequent purchases rather than ongoing services. Make sure you have the required assessments and approvals before purchasing or delivering items. Capital funding cannot be moved to other budget categories.
