When to use this code

Use this code for Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements. SIL provides ongoing support in a shared or individual living setting, helping participants with daily routines, personal care, and household tasks. SIL funding is typically based on a roster of care that maps out support needs across the week.

Common billing scenarios

• A provider submits a quote for this support based on the participant’s individual needs. The NDIA or plan manager reviews the quote before approving the funding.
• The participant and provider agree on a price and service scope. The provider then submits a claim against this code for the approved amount.

Provider notes

• This is a quotable support, so there is no fixed price limit. You will need to submit a detailed quote to the NDIA or the participant’s plan manager before delivering the service. The quote should break down the expected costs and justify why the amount is reasonable.
• This is a Core support, which means participants can generally use their Core funding flexibly across different Core categories (unless their plan states otherwise). Check with the participant’s plan manager if you are unsure about flexibility.
