What changed for 2026-27
The 2026-27 Annual Pricing Review rebalanced allied health caps rather than raising everything. Psychology went up, dietitian and exercise physiology came down, and support worker caps were held at 2025-26 levels. Therapy travel, non-face-to-face time and NDIA-requested reports were also unbundled into separate line items. All rates below are national hourly caps.

Support worker price limits
Full 2026-27 caps for assistance with self-care, per hour, including high intensity and remote loadings. National pricing applies in MMM 1-5 areas, Remote (MMM 6) carries a 40% loading, and Very Remote (MMM 7) carries 50%. Each code links to its own page with claiming notes.

How to read a support item code
Every support has a line item code, and the code tells you what the support is before you check the price. Take the weekday daytime self-care code 01_011_0107_1_1:
- 01 The support category. 01 is Assistance with Daily Life (Core). 04 is Assistance with Social and Community Participation, 15 is Improved Daily Living (therapy), and so on.
- 011 The specific support type within that category. Here, standard weekday daytime self-care. High intensity versions of the same support use the 400 series (01_400 to 01_405).
- 0107 The registration group, in this case Daily Personal Activities. It tells you which registration a provider needs to deliver the support.
- 1_1 The final digits flag the claim type and quoting rules for the item.

From PAPL to Pricing Schedule
The document most people call the NDIS Price Guide has been renamed twice. In 2019 the NDIA replaced the Price Guide with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, usually shortened to PAPL. From 1 July 2026 there is no new PAPL: the NDIA split it into two parts.
The price tables now live in the NDIS Pricing Schedule, the document behind every rate on this page. The claiming rules that used to sit alongside the prices in the PAPL, covering things like provider travel, short notice cancellations and non-face-to-face time, are being published separately by the NDIA. If you are looking for the 2026-27 PAPL, the Pricing Schedule is its replacement, and the price limits work the same way.
All three names describe the same thing: the list of maximum prices providers can charge NDIS participants. This page uses the current data from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27.

What is the NDIS Price Guide?
The NDIS Price Guide is the official list of support item codes and the maximum prices providers can charge NDIS participants for each support. It sets price limits across core supports, capacity building, and capital supports. Since 1 July 2026 the official document is called the NDIS Pricing Schedule, but most people still say Price Guide.
Is the NDIS Price Guide the same as the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL)?
They cover the same price limits, but the names changed. The Price Guide was renamed the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL) in 2019. From 1 July 2026 there is no new PAPL: the price tables are now published as the NDIS Pricing Schedule, and the claiming rules that used to sit in the PAPL are being published separately by the NDIA.
How often does the NDIS Price Guide update?
Once a year through the NDIA's Annual Pricing Review, with new price limits taking effect on 1 July. The current limits are from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, effective 1 July 2026. The NDIA can also publish interim changes during the year.
What is the support worker hourly rate for 2026-27?
The standard weekday daytime price limit for assistance with self-care is $70.23 per hour, held at its 2025-26 level. Evenings rise to $77.38, Saturdays to $98.83, Sundays to $127.43, and public holidays to $156.03. High intensity and remote supports have higher caps.
What changed between 2025-26 and 2026-27?
The 2026-27 review rebalanced allied health caps rather than raising everything: psychology went up $20 to $252.99 per hour, dietitian fell $10 to $178.99, and exercise physiology fell $5 to $161.99. Support worker caps were held. Therapy travel, non-face-to-face time and NDIA-requested reports were also unbundled into separate line items.
What are the high intensity support worker rates?
High intensity self-care supports carry higher caps than standard supports. For 2026-27 the weekday daytime high intensity limit is $75.98 per hour, rising to $168.81 on public holidays. Remote areas carry a 40% loading and very remote areas 50%.

Do providers have to charge these exact prices?
No. These are maximum price limits, not fixed prices. Providers can charge less, and participants who are plan-managed can negotiate below the cap. Agency-managed and plan-managed supports cannot be billed above the limit. Self-managed participants can agree to any price, though the caps are still a useful benchmark.
