When to use this code
Use this code for employment-related support. This covers assistance with finding, getting, and keeping a job, including job preparation, workplace modifications, and ongoing support in the workplace. Employment supports help participants build work-related skills and connect with employers who can offer suitable roles.
Common billing scenarios
- An employment support provider spends 3 hours helping a participant prepare a resume and practise interview skills. The 3 units are claimed under this code.
- An ongoing workplace support session of 1 hour per week helps a participant manage their tasks and communicate with their employer. Each session is billed individually.
Provider notes
- Capacity Building funding is time-limited and goal-oriented. Document how the support contributes to the participant’s plan goals, as this will be reviewed at plan reassessment. Unlike Core funding, Capacity Building budgets are usually not flexible across categories.
- When billing under this code, make sure the support delivered matches the description in the NDIS Support Catalogue. Mismatched codes are a common audit finding. Keep records of the date, time, duration, and nature of each support session.
