When to use this code
Use this code for plan management services. Plan managers handle the financial administration of a participant’s NDIS plan. They receive and pay invoices from providers, track spending against budget categories, and send regular financial statements. This allows participants to use both registered and unregistered providers while still having financial oversight.
Common billing scenarios
- A plan manager processes 12 invoices during a month for a participant. The monthly plan management fee covers all invoice processing, budget tracking, and financial statements.
- A plan manager sets up a new participant’s account, contacts providers, and processes the first month’s invoices. The setup fee (if applicable) is claimed separately from the ongoing monthly fee.
Provider notes
- Capacity Building funding is time-limited and goal-oriented. Document how the support contributes to the participant’s plan goals, as this will be reviewed at plan reassessment. Unlike Core funding, Capacity Building budgets are usually not flexible across categories.
- When billing under this code, make sure the support delivered matches the description in the NDIS Support Catalogue. Mismatched codes are a common audit finding. Keep records of the date, time, duration, and nature of each support session.
