Top 20 NDIS Providers Sydney 2026 Compared
Buddhika Jayawardhana
Co-founder & CTO
If you are searching for the best NDIS providers in Sydney, this page ranks 20 NDIS service providers in Sydney by their track record on Carevo. Every provider on this list reports being NDIS registered, has a claimed profile (including a listed ABN), and has a track record of responding to and helping participants who reach out through Carevo. You can confirm any provider’s current registration on the NDIS Commission register (see how to check below).
This is a change from how we used to order this page. The previous version ranked providers mainly by enquiry volume and engagement. This version ranks by follow-through: which registered providers in Sydney consistently respond to participants and help them, based on real positive interactions on the Carevo platform.
If you need support in Parramatta, Liverpool, Western Sydney, or the St George area, this comparison of NDIS NSW providers will help you decide.
Sydney and NSW NDIS provider numbers
These figures come from live activity on the Carevo platform and refresh as the data updates, so they do not go stale. Last updated 2026-06-27. See how we calculate these numbers.
- 8,844 NDIS-registered providers listed across New South Wales
- 1,462 NSW suburbs have at least one provider covering them
- Median time for a provider to respond to a new request in NSW: 10 minutes
- 71% of NSW requests get a provider response within the hour, 95% within 24 hours
- It holds at national scale too: of 5,831 matched requests across Australia, 93% were answered within a day
Provider choice is densest through the inner west and the western Sydney growth corridor. The Sydney-area suburbs with the most providers covering them on Carevo (snapshot as of 2026-06-27):
| Suburb | Providers covering it |
|---|---|
| Sydney (CBD) | 450 |
| Parramatta | 223 |
| Blacktown | 218 |
| Liverpool | 216 |
| Bankstown | 176 |
| Campbelltown | 146 |
| Penrith | 141 |
| Wollongong | 140 |
Most-requested services across the platform, by real request volume: personal care (855 requests), domestic assistance (570) and therapy (461).
These response-time and provider-count figures reflect how providers behave with participants who reach out through Carevo, not the whole Sydney market. State-wide and national response figures are measured across every request matched on the platform; the suburb counts are a periodic snapshot of declared service areas.
The number of providers creates a real choice problem. Thousands of registered providers operate across NSW, but most cover only a handful of suburbs and many are slow to respond. This list focuses on 20 registered providers with the strongest follow-through with participants.
Registered NDIS providers in Sydney and how to verify registration
Every provider in this list reports being a registered NDIS provider, and you can confirm current status on the NDIS Commission register using the steps below. Registration matters because registered providers have been assessed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission against set quality and safety standards. If your plan is NDIA-managed, you can only use registered providers. If you self-manage or plan-manage, you can use registered or unregistered providers, but many participants still prefer registered ones for the added oversight.
To check whether a provider is an NDIS approved provider:
- Use the official NDIS Provider Finder. Search the find a registered provider tool on ndis.gov.au by location and service type. This is the authoritative list of registered NDIS providers.
- Ask for the provider’s registration details. A registered provider can tell you which registration groups they hold. Those groups define the supports they are approved to deliver, for example high-intensity personal care, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), plan management, or support coordination.
- Confirm the ABN. A listed ABN, which every provider on this list has, lets you confirm the legal entity behind the service.
The list below covers registered NDIS service providers in Sydney from Parramatta and Western Sydney through to the St George area and the South-West growth corridor. A few are broad-coverage, full-service registered providers that list dozens of suburbs (one covers more than 100), which suits participants who want a single provider with wide reach.

How We Ranked These Providers
This list is ranked on real participant activity on our platform and is not influenced by advertising spend. To be upfront about how we make money: Carevo earns a fee when a participant connects with a listed provider through the platform. That is how the service is funded. It does not change the ranking, which is based on the four factors below.
Four things drive the ranking:
- NDIS registration. Every provider on this list is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registration means they have been vetted against the Commission’s quality and safety standards.
- A claimed profile. Each provider has claimed their Carevo profile and has a listed ABN, so the contact details, service list, and registration groups shown are confirmed rather than auto-generated.
- Registration breadth. How many NDIS registration groups a provider holds, which shows the range of supports they are approved to deliver.
- A track record. The main factor is whether a provider actually responds to and helps participants who reach out, based on the pattern of positive follow-through with participants on the Carevo platform.
Where two providers are close, we note registration breadth and suburb coverage so you can match a provider to your situation. This replaces the older ranking that was based mainly on enquiry volume and engagement.

How to Choose the Right NDIS Provider in Sydney
1. Understand your NDIS plan. Be clear on what your plan covers before you start searching. Identify whether you need daily living support, therapy, accommodation, or community participation.
2. Check registration status. If your plan is NDIA-managed, you can only use registered providers. Verify at ndis.gov.au. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can use both registered and unregistered providers.
3. Verify suburb coverage. Many providers list broad service areas but have limited availability in specific suburbs. Always confirm directly that they can start services at your address.
4. Ask about staff consistency. One of the most common complaints in the NDIS is inconsistent staff. Ask how they handle allocation and what happens when your regular support worker is unavailable.
5. Request a trial period. Most providers will offer a trial. Use this to assess whether the provider and their staff are the right fit before committing to a longer agreement.
6. Read your service agreement carefully. Pay attention to notice periods (typically 2-4 weeks), cancellation terms, and pricing. Ask about any fees outside the NDIS price guide.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sydney NDIS Providers
How do I find a registered NDIS provider in Sydney?
The best place to start is the official NDIS Provider Finder tool on the NDIS website. You can filter by location, service type, and other specializations. This list is also a good place to start.
What should I look for when choosing an NDIS provider?
Look for a provider that is registered with the NDIS, has experience with your specific disability or needs, has positive independent reviews, and communicates clearly and transparently. Interview several providers before making a choice.
What is the difference between a registered and unregistered NDIS provider?
Registered providers have been vetted by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and meet strict quality and safety standards. You can only use registered providers if your NDIS plan is NDIA-managed. If you are self-managing or plan-managing your funds, you can use either.
Can I switch NDIS providers if I’m not happy?
Yes. You have the right to choose who provides your supports. Check your service agreement for the notice period (usually 2-4 weeks). Have a new provider lined up before ending your current agreement.
How are NDIS providers rated or reviewed?
There is no single official rating system. Ratings and reviews are spread across Google Reviews, Clickability, and forums like Reddit. Read reviews from multiple sources for a balanced view.
