Finding an art therapist in New South Wales

NDIS assistance to participate in a community activity is different from the activity fee. A recreational group or lesson is not therapy, and a Core budget does not automatically cover its fees.

Evidence and goals

Discuss the proposed intervention, evidence relevant to the person’s disability, alternatives and how outcomes will be assessed. Do not assume a general claim about creativity or wellbeing establishes a clinical benefit. A therapist’s report supports assessment; it does not guarantee funding. Ask who delivers each session, how consent and privacy are handled, how progress is recorded and when the plan will be reviewed. Confirm home-visit coverage directly rather than treating a directory listing as a booking.

How it is kept honest: Recalculated daily from scratch, shown only above the baseline and only with at least two scored signals, and removed automatically when either stops being true. It cannot be purchased.
