Which funding stream pays for chiropractic at home, and who qualifies?

Support at Home funds chiropractic as a clinical care support, which carries no client contribution, for people assessed and approved under one of the eight funding classifications since the program replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025 (Department of Health and Aged Care, 2025). People not yet assessed, or with lower support needs, can access it through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, which keeps operating while its move into Support at Home is deferred to no earlier than 1 July 2027 (Department of Health and Aged Care, 2025). Chiropractic is not a standard NDIS support category. Working-age adults can instead claim a Medicare rebate for up to five allied health visits a year under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (Services Australia, Medicare Benefits Schedule, 2025).
