What counts as light gardening under NDIS or Support at Home?
Light gardening is routine outdoor maintenance such as lawn mowing, weeding, pruning of small shrubs, and leaf clearing, not heavy landscaping or tree removal. Under the NDIS, yard maintenance is only funded where it is an essential task a participant cannot do because of their disability and it meets the reasonable and necessary criteria (NDIS Pricing Arrangements 2025-26), so it is not a generally available service. On the aged care side it can be funded through Support at Home or the CHSP for eligible clients.
