We talk a lot about helping families find the right provider. This is the other side of that story: what it looks like for a provider when the right enquiries start arriving. CarePro, an established NDIS provider in south-east Melbourne, took a chance on Carevo after other lead platforms let them down. A few months on, the enquiries are landing more consistently, and some standout matches are already in motion.

A provider built on care
CarePro, which trades as CarePro and carries the slogan The Care Professionals, has supported people with disability across Melbourne and regional Victoria for more than five years. From its base in Endeavour Hills, it runs a broad service offering: supported independent living and accommodation, support coordination, daily living, community and social access, transport, household tasks and allied health. The founder describes the team as best known for mental health support and personal care, along with supports in shared accommodation, backed by a couple of strong support coordinators who also work as recovery coaches.
One thing sets the tone for how CarePro works. It runs around the clock, and being available at any hour turns out to matter more than you might expect once Carevo enters the picture.
The problem: leads that fell short
CarePro doesn’t run much organic social media or SEO, so new participants have mostly come through paid platforms. Several of those came and went without much to show for it. By the founder’s own account, Carevo was close to a last attempt.
The last two platforms we tried didn’t really work out. I thought this was going to be our last try.
Taking the punt on Carevo
There was no sales call and no brochure, and no one to ring to check the platform first. The founder looked at it briefly, saw that CarePro had the capacity to take on new participants, and decided to back it. He’s honest that it was a leap of faith.
It really was a punt.
The price gave him pause, and he wasn’t keen to hand a card to a company he’d only just come across. He signed up anyway and waited to see what came through.
What changed: steadier enquiries
The first few weeks took some adjusting, and a couple of promising enquiries slipped by while the team found its feet. Within a couple of months the flow picked up, and the contrast with the older platforms was clear.
We’re getting more consistent than we were.
CarePro has since put a team member on the enquiries each day to work through them and follow up quickly, so fewer good matches get away. The leads were enough to justify staffing the response, which says something on its own.
Matches already in motion
Two recent enquiries stand out. One participant was after a recovery coach in an area CarePro already covers. The team met them on the weekend and again a few days later.
That one is somebody we can make a positive difference for.
The second is exactly the kind of match CarePro is built for. A participant wanted a support worker who was genuinely fit and into sport. CarePro had precisely that person on its team.
They’re looking for someone very fit and into sport, and we’ve got someone who’s represented the country at the Olympics.
An Olympian support worker matched to an athletic participant is a standout result, and it came through Carevo.
The edge of a 24/7 team
CarePro promises round-the-clock availability, and that promise pays off on a platform like Carevo. As a small organisation that operates at all hours, it can respond the moment an enquiry lands, whatever the time.
Sometimes you might win something in the middle of the night because you’re awake.
On a platform where the quickest response tends to win, that availability is a real advantage.
Advice for other providers
It’s definitely worth a go. So far, we find it to be very useful.
His advice to peers is practical: know exactly what you offer, and be quick to respond when an enquiry arrives. He’d like a longer run of data before drawing firm conclusions, and on the early evidence he rates Carevo positively against the other platforms CarePro has tried.
What’s next for CarePro
The founder’s main request points to where he sees the most upside: tighter targeting. With accommodation vacancies to fill, he’d happily pay for the ability to filter enquiries down to a specific need, like a particular room or house in a particular town, rather than receiving a wider net.
If there was a way you could accept only certain requests, and pay for more.
For now, CarePro is comfortable with where things sit and keen to keep going.
We’re happy with the way things are. It is working at the moment.
