Most providers come to Carevo to find participants. Maria Camila Van Arcken, a case manager and support coordinator at Community Home Care Services, came to solve a different problem, and it shows how much the platform can do from the other side of the table.

A different kind of Carevo story
Community Home Care Services supports both NDIS participants and older Australians on Aged Care Home Care Packages, with a multidisciplinary team across Sydney. Part of what CHC offers its Home Care Package clients is allied health: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and more. To deliver that, Maria subcontracts allied health professionals, and that is where the difficulty used to start.
The problem: a six-month search
CHC holds its subcontractors to the same standards it holds itself. Before anyone visits a client, Maria needs their paperwork in order: professional registration, a police check, an NDIS clearance, a working with children check. Most allied health professionals don’t have all of it ready to go, so every engagement turned into a long chase for documents that often never arrived.
The area problem made it harder. Many clinics don’t cover the suburb a client lives in, or they won’t do home visits at all and expect the client to travel to them. For Home Care Package clients, getting to a clinic is often the whole problem.
Trying to find a physio for the Annandale area took me about six months. I needed someone with the availability, who would visit the client’s home, and who had all the paperwork ready. It was so time consuming.
The idea: source from Carevo
Rather than keep searching clinic by clinic, Maria put her requirements into Carevo and waited to see who responded. The answer came quickly.
I put in the details, and so many people called me interested in providing services.
What happened: a network in a week
From the responses, Maria onboarded two centres that each cover a full range of allied health, including occupational therapy, podiatry, physiotherapy and speech pathology. They turned out to be exactly the kind of partners she’d struggled to find.
They’ve been very reliable. They answer me, and they have all the paperwork ready. I’m just waiting on a few documents to be signed, then I’ll send them to the client and pass them all the work.
The contrast with the old way was stark.
This took me a week to get everything ready. Before, it was long hours searching, long hours talking to people and following up, and they never sent the documents. It was a nightmare.

Why it worked
For Maria, two things made the difference. Carevo put her in front of people who understood how care is actually delivered, and it let her filter for providers who cover the specific area a client lives in.
Carevo connects you with the right people, people who understand how we deliver services. And it can filter people who provide services in that specific area. It made my life so much easier.
A six-month search became a one-week result, and CHC came away with two reliable allied health partners it can keep sending work to.
It made my life so much easier.
