NDIS cleaning is house cleaning and domestic assistance funded under Core Supports, Assistance with Daily Life, for participants who cannot safely or independently maintain their home because of their disability. It covers tasks such as vacuuming, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, laundry, and periodic deep cleans, charged under support item 01_020_0120_1_1 at $58.03/hour under the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 (effective 1 July 2026).
Who It Is For and How It Is Funded
Cleaning support is for participants whose physical, psychosocial, intellectual, or neurological disability limits their ability to do household tasks, and who don’t have informal supports able to reasonably cover this. It is drawn from the Core Supports Assistance with Daily Life budget in an NDIS plan, at the flat hourly rate set in the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, with higher limits for remote and very remote areas. It does not cover cleaning for other household members or general household cleaning unrelated to the participant’s needs.
