Do NDIS support workers need insurance?

Yes, in practice. Do independent support workers need their own insurance?

Usually, yes. Certificates should name the insured entity exactly as it appears on the NDIS Provider Register, show the policy period and limits, and mention disability support work. Auditors also expect cover to match your registration groups: a provider registered for high-intensity supports needs policies that do not exclude clinical tasks.
