Assistive technology (AT) is equipment that helps older Australians complete daily tasks safely at home, from personal alarms and shower chairs to medication dispensers and mobility aids. Older Australians in the Support at Home program access AT through the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme, introduced 1 November 2025 (Department of Health and Aged Care, 2025).

Which Funding Pays for Assistive Technology in Aged Care?
